Dr Joseph Chakola attained his primary medical qualification in India and has over 15 years of experience in psychiatry across Australia, India, and the United Kingdom. He holds a Diploma in Psychological Medicine from India and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry.

In Australia, Dr Chakola has trained on the Central Coast and worked at Gosford and Wyong hospitals, as well as various community mental health teams. His experience also includes positions at The Mater Hospital in Newcastle, The Canberra Hospital, and Albury Hospital.

Dedicated to providing thorough psychiatric assessments, Dr Chakola emphasizes a recovery-focused and trauma-informed approach while enriching the therapeutic alliance. He advocates for a holistic, patient-centred management style that incorporates biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors.
